The Intellectual property was worked on since the early 2012. The founder and co-inventor of the IP invested $250,000 of his own funds to create a “zero prototype” and to file necessary provisional and utility applications.
10xHydro
10xHydro was incorporated in the State of Delaware in late 2014 in order to commercialize intellectual property based on applying the bladeless turbine to building’s piping system to regenerate energy of the circulating hot, cold or potable water to generate electricity.
The 10xHydro turbine was designed to address a challenge of increasing energy efficiency of buildings (through energy regeneration) without negatively impacting on the system’s overall performance.
Company Milestones
In November 2014 the company secured funding from an Angel investor of $1.35m to take the technology to the beta testing stage.
In March 2015 a team of 20 engineers and executive professionals was assembled in Belgrade, Serbia to work on development, design, testing and prototyping.
In June 2015 an Advisory Board was formed comprising of some preeminent names in business, green buildings and financial sector.
Field trials were under way since September 2015 in SUNOKO Sugar plant in Serbia.
Second Round of funding (now totaling overall funding to $2.25m) was secured in March 2016.
In April 2016 Deloitte from Prague, Czech Republic provided positive review and evaluation of the Feasibility of the 10xHydro turbine project.
In May 2016 The company successfully passed through a rigorous expert evaluation for EU Horizon 2020 Grant under the call for Stimulating the innovation potential of SMEs for a low carbon and efficient energy system.
In August 2016 the 10xHydro Turbine was installed at Adobe Systems HQ in San Jose California.
